VISA Free Countries For Indian Passport Holders

The most stressful thing for most Indians planning to travel abroad is not the price of the ticket, but securing a visa. Majority of countries around the world require Indians to obtain visa prior to traveling. But there are 59 Visa Free Countries that do not want Indians to worry about Visa.

Below is a list of countries offering eVisa, Visa on Arrival and requiring no visa at all for Indian nationals.

The term ‘eVisa’ is used to refer to a visa where there is no visible stamp or label. In this case, the visa is electronic, and the validity of the visa will be recognized at the border of a particular country you plan to visit.

Just for information: UAE has opened up Visa on Arrival to Indians having a Green Card or valid US Visa in their passports.

The List of  VISA Free Countries 



1 Bahrain eVisa Visas are available on arrival in Bahrain, but otherwise visas must be pre-arranged, either through a sponsor, or an embassy.
2 Bhutan No Visa Indian, Bangladeshis and Maldivian nationals can obtain a visa at the port of entry on producing a valid passport with a minimum of 6 month validity (Indian nationals may also use their Voters Identity Card (VIC)).
3 Bolivia Visa on Arrival 90 days
4 Cambodia Visa on Arrival Indians can obtain a Visa on Arrival for Cambodia, for a maximum stay of 30 days, by paying a fee of US$ 20. One must have a passport, photographs, sufficient funds to cover the stay in Cambodia, and travel documents like a completed visa application form and confirmed flight tickets. Also, make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival.
5 Cape Verde Visa on Arrival The visa allows you to stay for 90 days. You must enter the country within 180 days after the visa has been issued.
6 Comoros Visa on Arrival Indian Nationals must hold return ticket, forex, accommodation, sufficient funds to cover stay and onward visa.
7 Cote d’lvoire eVisa Up to 3 months
8 Djibouti Visa on Arrival Valid passport, 2 Visa Application Forms, photographs, covering letter, proof of accommodation, ticket itinerary, Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate and Foreign Exchange endorsement is required.
9 Dominica No Visa 6 months
10 Ecuador No Visa 90 days
11 El Salvador No Visa 90 days
12 Ethiopia Visa on Arrival Visa is valid for 30 days. The applicant should have valid passport, visa form, photographs, covering letter, invitation/sponsorship letter, hotel reservation, bank statements, Yellow fever vaccination certificate, Polio vaccination, proof of funds: to cover the period of stay @USD 50 per day
13 Fiji No Visa 4 months
14 Gabon eVisa Visa is issued with a maximum validity of ONE month. Documents like Passport, Visa application, photographs, covering letter, invitation letter, Police Clearing Certificate, Proof of Sufficient Funds, Proof of Accommodation, Ticket itinerary and Yellow fever vaccination certificate are required.
15 Georgia eVisa Georgia eVisa can be availed for Tourism & Business purpose for a stay up to 30 days (Single Entry)
16 Grenada No Visa 3 months
17 Guinea-Bissau Visa on Arrival 90 days
18 Guyana Visa on Arrival 30 days provided holding confirmation issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs
19 Haiti No Visa 3 months
20 Indonesia Visa on Arrival All it takes is US$ 25 for Indians to get a Visa on Arrival for Indonesia, for a maximum stay of 30 days! You must show evidence of sufficient funds to cover your stay in Indonesia, in addition to carrying confirmed flight tickets for the return or onward destination. Ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Indonesia
21 Jamaica No Visa Stay of up to 30-days
22 Jordan Visa on Arrival Indians coming to Jordan can get a Visa on Arrival for 2 weeks by paying a fee of approximately US$ 30. They must carry at least US$ 1000 (or equivalent) to cover their stay and hold onward or return flight tickets for their next destination. Indians entering and exiting Jordan from Aqaba, along with the Red Sea, are granted a 1-month visa for free.
23 Kenya eVisa 3 months
24 Laos Visa on Arrival 30 days
25 Madagascar Visa on Arrival 90 days
26 Maldives Visa on Arrival Indians can obtain a Visa on Arrival for a maximum of 90 days, free of charge. They must carry documents for the next destination, like return or onward flight tickets. Those passengers without a hotel reservation must carry at least $30 per person per day of their stay.
27 Mauritania Visa on Arrival 30 days
28 Mauritius Visa on Arrival Indians can get Visa on Arrival for a maximum stay of 60 days, provided they hold a confirmed booking for accommodation in Mauritius, a sponsorship letter, a confirmed booking for a return flight and sufficient funds for expenses during their stay (minimum of USD 100 per day).
29 Micronesia No Visa Allows stay of 30 days that may be extended up to 60 days. Departure Tax applies.
30 Moldova eVisa 90 days
31 Myanmar eVisa eVisa is available only at Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw Airport.  Additional restrictions include only 28 days in the country with the visa and a lack of extensions. The standard tourist visa expires upon 90 days of the visa’s start date.
32 Nepal No Visa A single entry Visa on Arrival is granted to Indians for a maximum stay of 150 days. The only thing you need to carry is a proof of nationality such as passport, driving license or ration card with photo.
33 Palau Visa on Arrival For 30 days
34 Rwanda eVisa
35 Saint Kitts and Nevis No Visa 3 months
36 Saint Lucia Visa on Arrival 6 weeks
37 Saint Vincent and the Grenadines No Visa 1 month
38 Samoa Permit on Arrival 1 month
39 Sao Tome and Principe eVisa The visa is usually valid for a single entry within 90 days of the date issued, for a stay up to 30 days. A tourist visa can be extended once for an additional period of 90 days.
40 Senegal Visa on Arrival Up to 90 days.
41 Seychelles Visa on Arrival Indians can obtain a Visa on Arrival for Seychelles, for a maximum stay of 30 days. To obtain the visa they must hold an onward or return ticket and funds of minimum US$ 150 per person per day, along with proof of accommodation.
42 Somalia Visa on Arrival 30 days, provided an invitation letter issued by the sponsor has been submitted to the Airport Immigration Department at least 2 days before Arrival.
43 Sri Lanka No Visa but special permit required Electronic Travel Authorization; 30 days.
44 Tanzania Visa on Arrival
45 Thailand Visa on Arrival Unlike foreign citizens, Indians can simply get a Visa on Arrival in Thailand for just US$ 35! Bear in mind that your stay does not exceed 15-30 days. In addition, Indians must hold the onward or return flight tickets plus a minimum of 10,000 baht per person.
46 Togo Visa on Arrival  7 days
47 Timor-Leste Visa on Arrival 30 days
48 Trinidad and Tobago No Visa 90 days. Visitors are required to hold proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay and confirmed flight tickets required for their next destination.
49 Tuvalu Visa on Arrival 1 month
50 Uganda Visa on Arrival The E-Visa system is currently not handled or managed by Uganda High Commission and therefore applications cannot currently be accessed or managed by the Mission. 51 Vanuatu No Visa Vanuatu Visa for Indians is not required for stays of up to 30 days. Visitors are required to show evidence of sufficient funds to cover their stay in Vanuatu and hold travel documents, including visas and confirmed flight tickets, required for their return or next destination.

Spitsbergen (Svalbard) is a visa free area, but since there are no direct flights from anywhere in the world), the person who wants to visit Spitsbergen (Svalbard) has to fly via Norway. For this very reason, a Schengen visa is needed.

59 Turks & Caicos Islands No Visa Visitors are allowed to stay for 90 days
